The 2005 Seafood Fest Fundraiser, sponsored by the Houghton Rotary Club, was held Father's Day Weekend, June 17 to 19. Held in conjunction with Bridgefest, a community wide celebration by the twin towns of Houghton and Hancock, Seafood Fest Fundraiser is the major fundraising activity for the Houghton Rotary Club. The joy of Seafood Fest Fundraiser is that not just Rotarians work, but many of their spouses and children join the fun. Also, members of MTU sports teams and clubs, along with volunteers from many of the agencies Houghton Rotary supports though the proceeds of Seafood Fest Fundraiser, also give of their time. Truly, Service Above Self is at work all weekend.
